Rod's new Bike

Yo Yo Yo Check out Rods new bike

Irene The Hurricane of 2011

Me and Sherrie Saturday at deserted Seaside.
Yea we were suppose to get a blazing hurricane this weekend. I cancelled the trip to see a motocross race in Massachusetts Moto338 (Ronnie and Matt were the only guys to brave the storm) But that's another story all to its self.  The storm was suppose to be at its strongest around Sunday at 6.
We all made the best of a wet weekend by playing in the water and rain as much as possible. Me and Dan went up and rode the dirt bikes on the parkway because it was closed to traffic. Then me and Jessica and Dan went riding the little bikes. It was 100 % more fun then when me and Dan went out on the big bikes. I think both of us truly miss riding with Jessica and Sherrie. We use to have a blast riding and when Jessica decides to go out with us me and Dan really treasure it. It just doesn't happen as often as we both wished. The hurricane was not as exciting as I thought it was going to be. You'll see some picture on the picture link of me and the boys shooting some pool as that was the extent of our hurricane party.

Riding with all the boys

All the boys went out riding. I'm writing this about a week and a half later but I can honestly say it was a good ride with little drama. Little drama is a good thing in my world.
After I wrote this I get up to get a drink of water. I think crap my foot is still sore and swollen from my contact with the stump in the fire cuts that day I went riding with all the boys. See it's freaking always something. Life's bruises sure do heal a lot slower as the hair get thinner.

IT GONNA RAIN

Then you went weee the wooo and you landed here I seen it all

We were all scheduled to ride this Sunday at 11am. The rain came and came hard all morning long. I was texting the boys and telling everyone I was riding no matter what. Well everyone seemed to be backing out and it was just me and Dan in the garage contemplating the ride. If everyone backed out and we're the only ones left should we ride in this mess or call it a day and go play monopoly. (Humm as we both muddled something about if we even owned a board game)  Then the call comes in from Tony saying, "he's on his way and he has his rained gear". "Suit up Dan we're going riding" I tell him.
The rain seemed doable and off we went into the trail. Dan and Tony take off and as the puddle splashing commenced I knew it was going to be a different kind of ride today. The ride  was short lived as Dan hit a rock in the trail which caused a day ending crash. We picked up Dan and the YZ and limped our way back to the house to hand Dan over to his Mom for further analysis. It was determined that a emergency room visit was in order and Tony and I were giving the go to continue the ride. We rejoiced and took off. The day was filled with a lot of fun splashing and sand blasting and all went well for the rest of the afternoon. Bruised ribs was the prognosis a painful injury but the boy will ride again

HANCOCK NY DUEL SPORT

The worst funniest time I had was this weekend 8/6/2011. Yea that’s an oxymoron. Me and Keith drove his camper with a trailer in tow with our beloved motorcycles in the back. Both of us felt the need to take our KLR’s with us up to the mountains for the 13th running of the Quarry run dual sport. The big Kawasaki’s proved a good ride to go into town for pizza on Friday night but after riding the first half an hour on the dual sport Saturday we came to the quick conclusion that this was no place for our trusted over weight thumpers and our more agile husqvarna are going to be our bike of choice for this event.
The quarry run was some kind of abuse chamber that the club members seemed proud of taking us flat landers on.  Showing us what terrain real manly men ride their motorcycles on. There was up hills that were just littered with motorcycle and frustrated riders attempting the rocky climb. There was down hills that were more of a stream then a trail and every conceivable challenged they could muster up to throw our way.
Ha, who am I kidding? I had a blast and a weekend that I want to tell and brag to everyone who is willing to listen.

Keith had 4 of his friends from NYC that he knows from the road racing at NJMP meet us in Hancock NY.Two of them road just Saturday Patrick and Marko and Ilya and Demian rode both days. They all had different levels of ability and it was a blast to meet and ride with such nice people.

Tubing

Tubing down the Delaware was just what the doctor ordered to end a vacation. Jake , Teresa and their son Me and Sherrie and our two ( Jessica and Dan) The Bopp's and Katie Bopp. It was a lot of fun I have been conoeing down the Delaware before but I never just floated in a tube. It was a blast I always enjoy myself when hanging with the Bopps. You have got to love Ronnie's care free attitude. Check out all the pic's here.
My goodness over a hundred pictures for a 3 hour tubing trip LOL I am a Japanese tourist
