The Big Podium Challenge

It was a long weekend because I took Friday off. Me and Dan spent Friday turning a wrench on his bike preparing it for Sunday's race. We changed the chain, sprockets, and handle bars, Going top of the line on everything. Saturday we left at 10:30 am for a 6 hour drive. 9 hours later we arrive at the place I tend not to travel fast. I jumped off the Penn Turnpike to get lost in Amish country for a few hours. Later in the night Matt and Kenny show up. We camped,ate, and drink a few then crash out for the night under a full sky of stars. 3:30 in the morning the rain hits and hits hard for about 30 minutes. Always an adventure when going to these races. Sunday's race was nail biting to say the least. Dan captured 3rd with some position swapping right down to the white flag where he seemed to pour it on and came away with a podium finish. Next race Matt and Kenny where up and it seemed like a fun event for them. Me and Dan where standing in as pit crew when on lap 2 they come screaming by with just 2 seconds apart.It was a  Great weekend to say the least.

The Dance

Jessica had her Recital this weekend.That was really nice the whole show was great and she was wonderful on her two dances. Sunday I went out riding then a party with all my brothers friends for his surpise birthday party. That was really fun I had a great time riding with all the Harley dudes and got to see some old friends at the party. The whole weekend was a lot of fun. Mike Conner threw the ride and the party together and did a great job.

Weekend 6-13-2010

I didn't take any pictures this weekend. Saturday Dan had a double header playing baseball. Me and Rod took the dirt bikes through the wood over to the ball park to see him. I rode the YZ and she ran great except my leg was getting hot from the exaust. When Dan came home in a pissy mood because he lost his second game we went out and rode again. I felt bike rich because now I was on the Husky. We had a good time riding for a couple of hours nothing real big it was late and Dan was tired like I said he did a double header. Sunday we went to the Monmouth Track to bet on the ponies. It was fun but it was a lossing day for sure. No big hits just a lot of " Missed by a Nose"

The trip has been delayed

Yea I haven't been doing much dirt bike riding lately. See I was kind of taking it easy because I had a big smokie mountain trip lined up and didn't want to get hurt and ruin the vacation. So I have been hanging home doing some yard work hanging out with sherrie. Tony wasn't affraid here's the video of him screwing up our vacation. It's all good could of happened to anyone. Clifford PA NEOC Race

Good racing up in Pennsylvania this weekend we went to round 5 of the NEOC in Clifford PA. All the boys raced except me of course. Danny raced first and did quite well but in the pits he commented how tough the race was. I can't ever remember him saying that about a race. I knew then Mat and Kenny where in for a thrilla in manila. Rod on the other hand was a old salt and would surely do well.


Off Matt and Kenny go. Kenny was in a small lead at the start but over a jump in the first table top Matt comes sailing along side. Front wheel to high in the air. I'm thinking this dude is gonna kill himself out there. Matt comes around to the pits looking beat up. Later Kenny come through announcing he has had enough and bows out. Rod comes through looking like he's out for a Sunday trail ride. Me and Dan made a video of the race check it out HERE

Riding with Grasshopper

Dan and I took James out riding this week it was a lot of fun and he did great.We went to Ronnie and Spunky's house out in Jackson. We put him on the XR80 it was his first time using a clutch and it was easy going after the first stall. The picture on the top of the page says it all about how much fun it was having James around. He still thinks your just being nice when you stop and wait for him. Even if your back tire is pointing a sloppy mud puddle in his direction. Check out the slide show Danny did great on the jumps.

Dan raced up North (By Binghamton) it snowed all night. Rod went up with us but did not race something about his bike being afraid of the snow. Pictures

Out Riding Again

Went out riding this weekend twice. I was trying to hang home and do some chores but Mat called and wanted to go out on Saturday.  I had the Husky apart to put the duel sport kit on so I took out the YZ but I was wishing I had the husky because I was getting my ass kicked out there. So Sunday rolls around and I think I'm ready. (Well kind of ready) Mat had me up drinking a few beers the night before. ( I bet he kept me up on purpose). The Husky is running great and Rod and Dan are there also.(In my mind I'm going to rip up the ground so bad it's going to put the earth on a new axis. Well it was not to be I rode like crap and got eaten up all day long by the two young boys. At least Rod was having a little trouble with his bike and was having a little mercy on my ass and waited up for me on numerous occasions. Shit maybe I should take up a older mans pass time. Kind of a cool weekend. Went out riding the dirt bikes on friday after work. That is the best way of making sure your going to get the most out of your weekend is by doing something on Friday night. Saturday was opening day at the baseball feild. Dan, James, and Mason all had games. Sunday was all about the ride. Attendence was Dan, Myself, Tony, Rod and Doug a new guy from my job who wanted to go out riding with us. He crashed a couple of times early in the game and decided to call it quits. The first ever "Dirt Bike Tuesday"

Tony and I went out for our first ever Dirt Bike Tuesday trip. I read something On Joey Tremble's face book page that said "Don't count the days make the days count" So that is how Dirt Bike Tuesday was created. Dan decided to Miss D.B.T. because he was too tired. So he stayed home and did house work. (Go figure).

Longboard and Easter

Me and Jessica bought a longboard this weekend. Sherrie freaked out and was mad that I spent over a hundred on a skate board. What's is she going to do take the american express card away?:)Then later in the day me and Rod went out riding. Sunday was Easter and my birthday. This day was spent at seaside with my wife, kids and Mom it was fun day. Then later on the Bopps came over and we just chilled on the deck drinking margaritas. Dan's race 3-28-2010

Dan had a race in Millville NJ this weekend. We went and camped there Saturday wow was it cold. I slept in the tent and Dan went in the truck. (Whimp) He got 8th out of 23 riders which was OK he was happy at the way he rode and that's the main thing. Happy and Fun that's what life is all about. Ride all weekend

Great weekend for riding. The first time it was nice in a long time so we totally took advantage and rode Saturday and Sunday. Sunday is definitely the day worth mentioning. Everyone seemed to be able to get out this Sunday. Tony even brought his roommate Garret who from what I understand is quite the road racer. He said he hasn't been dirt bike riding for 20 years. Looked more like 30 to me HEHEHE Actually he was doing pretty good we didn't have to wait up for him no worse then Tony or myself on a bad day. Anyway he did good for the first half a lap then had a get off. Came rolling up with blood all over the nose. Looked pretty painful but the important thing was my YZ was not hurt. You see noses don't cost Jay no money.

Repair Repair 3-6-10

Put new brakes in Jessica's car. Installed a new freeze out plug in the jeep. Got the YZ running good ( Bad Spark Plug) Figured out why the Husky was breaking up at high revs(Spark plug cap)
Me and Dan went out riding Saturday and I was being a little bitch. The Husky was running like crap I had the GO Pro on and it was getting stuck on branches. The snow was making me slid out all over the place. So when the boys came over Sunday to ride I elected to skip. Something I did notice. That I didn't have to ask the guys if Dan could go out with them. He just suited up and went. He's one of the boys now not someone who has to be taken care of. Harlem Globetrotters

I was telling Sherrie that I wanted to go see the Harlem Globetrotters and the next morning my cousin Annette asked people on face book if they wanted tickets. So of course I said I would like them It was a fun show I took James and Danny we had a good time. Ow yea on the way out James is hinting that he wants a 25dollar basketball. Ow great I think, Then I look over and Danny is talking to the main globetrotter. High-lite was his name the guy hands Danny his sweat band off his wrist. Danny gives it to James and all was happy. That Boy Danny is just lucky like that. Thanks Annette for the tickets it was really nice of you.

Gopro snowballs

All the stars lined up perfect Saturday night. Sherrie was working, Supercross was a live broadcast, It was televised early enough to watch. So I invited all the boys who ride over for to watch the race and drink some beers. It was cool Mat, Kenny,Rod,Tony, Dan, and Dan's friend Dane and myself all hung out.
Woke up Sunday Me, James and Dan took all the dogs out for a walk. Then Mom took us all out for dinner at Holihans in Lakewood. Joe,Patric and My family it was nice and everyone had a good time. The Go Pro

Dan bought a Go Pro video camera and this is the first movie we made with it. He shoveled snow for weeks and saved enough money I'm proud of him. The big snow

Holy Cow we got some snow this weekend. I bet all in all no lying about 16 inches. We played in this stuff all day. It started snowing late Friday when we got up Saturday it was on. We pulled sleds all day on the minibike. We had a blast all day until it stopped snowing around 7 at night. Then I shoveled the driveway and had a good time drinking on the tailgate watching Dan and his friend Billy shovel Larry's drive way. Then it was over to Mat's for more beers. I have got to get a heated garage. Sunday we went sleigh riding at Devil's hill it was just a fun weekend you have to have fun when the opportunity arises. Snow storms that big only happen once in awhile.

Fun Filled Weekend

What a cool weekend first we went to the motorcycle show in NYC. Rod, Mat ,Dan and I rode up and met Tony and Nancy. We were the first 20 people in line and that's the way I like it. Get there and check out the bikes that you want to look at before the place gets absolutely mobbed. Then Rod, Dan, Mat and I went to the Empire State Building. The whole trip was fun, the taxi ride the walk back to the ferry when we stopped in Time Square . Just walking in NY is always a blast.
Sunday was all about the ride. Dan, Rod Tony and I went out at 12:00. Tony had mechanical issues and had to call it early. Other then that we had a great ride. We were having a blast and stayed out there as long as we could before getting low on gas. Then I topped it off by watching supercross on the Telly.

A Walk with the Dogs

Went for a walk with all 3 dogs, and Jessica, Dan, Amanda, and A.J. Ya know you really don't have to spend money to have fun. We played on a hill and a frozen puddle and totally had a blast.

Christmas

Christmas was fun this year. We bought Jessica a car so that was exciting. It's a 1996 Honda Civic with 96000 miles. She doesn't get her permit for a couple of months but it was a good car so me and Sherrie bought it for her. I guess the funny part of the story is I wrapped them in the usual way of one box in another in another you get the idea. Then we realized we needed to move the car into the driveway on Christmas eve and had no spare keys.

I take a lot of photos but this one with Jessica finally getting to the keys in her Xmas present was priceless.

Snow Day

Had a great day on Saturday 12-19-2009. We had a big snow storm like almost (2) two feet of snow. Me and the kids where out there pulling the sled around with the Minibike all day Saturday during the storm. It snowed till Sunday morning but Sunday was clean up day. Saturday was fun day. Actually now I read this Sunday was kind of fun also.

Sunday after Thanksgiving ride

Me and Dan went out by ourselves. Everyone else is broke down or they wet quad on us. It was a cool ride at one point I feel what I thought was Dan's handle bar poking me in my fat roll. Then it happens again and I realize he's riding next to me poking me. Well this starts a game of motorcycle tag. That was fun but Dan mentioned that we are going to kill ourselves so we quit........ (For now) Ow yea got the YZ back together and she's running great. I love that bike a 1989 yz 125.

Thanksgiving

Wow I love thanksgiving. Sherrie and all who helped in the kitchen did a great job again serving a fantastic man meal. We had 20 people at the dinner table and it was a great fun day. We ate like the kings we are then went down stairs to drink, shoot pool and gamble.Ow and lets not forget to also talk shit, joke and laugh till wee hours into the morning. Where's Sherrie in the table pictures???? I bet she's drinking wine some where. :)

Out for a ride with Dan,Rod and Me. Went To Zarcos it was real cool to do something a little different. We got way lost on the way home. I was laughing telling Dan and Rod "It's New Jersey for Goodness sake it's not like were going to die out here". We drove on the road till we found our way. Dan got a kick out of riding on the road.

Dirt ride on the street bikes

Great ride Rod Mat and myself.I texted these guys early in the morning to see if they wanted to go for a early morning ride. I forgot I was dealing with 3rd shift Mat and That's to bloody early for me Rod. So we hooked up at 11 or so and meet Rod later in Chatsworth. This ride was a lot of fun some nice twisties back behind the State forests and then we did some dirt riding back around Harry Wright lake. Kind of fun on the street bikes. All bikes are dirt bikes just some work better then other on that terrain Check out the 4 miles of dirt we did on the street bikes

Out riding just me and Dan

Me and Dan went out riding today. The first lap was exciting I felt wise and full of trickery. We where passing each other I was holding my own. knowing all the short cuts the best line. It was a brawl of men and their machines. Lap two I just felt old and tired happy just to keep the beast on two wheels and luck to keep the kid insight let alone a pass. Hey but did I tell you about lap one.:)

Good dirt pictures

I don't think I did crap on Saturday. But I made up for it Sunday. Got up early and went riding with Dan, Tony, and Kenny. Dan's first real ride on the new 150R and he was kicking it pretty good. You'll see one picture where I'm all muddy. I was following Dan and I was pushing it a little hard and wiped out in a puddle. All was good no injuries. Then we rushed home and went to Seaside to watch Jessica march in the Parade. Kids are growing up fast.

Dan got his new bike. 2008 (Brand New Left Over) CRF150R. Big wheel. This bike rips pretty good I hope he has fun on it for a couple of years.
