Icebreakers

Rode a dualsport yesterday with Matt,Kara and this dude Artie. Artie will be doing the NEBDR with me and Matt this September so it was nice to meet him. The Dualsport was a blast I rode the Hondog (2013 CRF250L) I had all the bags on that I'll be taking on the NEBDR. everything worked out fine with a few tweaks here and there. The company was a lot of fun. I always have a good time with Matt and Kara and it was cool just to get out and ride for the day despite it being cold as f$@&.

Maverick Jay

Jessica and Andrew have a son now. He was born during the pandemic 4/19/20. Kind of a crazy time this covid19 crap. Well we weren't able to hold him for the first few months and that was really heart breaking for my wife. I think that's why she purchased the two dogs we have now Sasha and Rubie. I was ecstatic over the fact that his last name was chosen to be Jay. That was such a wonderful thing. It really made me feel special like I must of been a really good dad to of had the first grand child have my name as his middle. Jessica and Andrew really made me proud.

I can wait to retire

So I found a job working for Ocean ride. I guess I been there for a year and a half now. 9 months was as a temp and didn't get the full benefits of medical and numerous days off. I
Basically pick up elderly people and drive them to the doctors or shopping. I love it and decided I'm not retiring any time soon. So I took some money out of my Roth IRA and bought a Honda  2021 Crf450RL. That's a lot of bike for a old man. I was going to get a Adventure bike which is a 450lb over weight go anywhere bike. Matt and my son Danny some how talked me into this dirt eating machine. I love them guys I'm so much happier having a kick ass dirt bike again.

Dan's race in PA

I drove Dan up past Jim Thorpe PA   google tracks

Curious if that link will work.
It was nice to just drive up there with me and Dan. Kind of like old times we laughed and had a great time up and back. He was racing my bike WR250 Husky because his KX250F was having new Valves put in and I think he was hating life the first loop and I felt like I was able to talk him into continuing the race. He would of hated himself if he quit

Dan made me turn around so we could see the windmills. Glad he Did

Vintage Motorcycle Days 2018

Went to The AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days in  Mid Ohio sports car course this weekend.
Me and Rod drove up over there on the 5th of July got a hotel and then went in Friday and planned to camp for two days in the field. The camping was a little rough I had to go purchase a shade tent at walmart or I wasn't going to be able to hang out there without a place to relax in the shade.
It was a gigantic swap meet where Rod was in his glory and there was a lot of vintage racing going on through out the weekend. I had a blast but if I was to go back I would have to have motorcycles to ride. That was our biggest mistake it's really not worth going unless you have a bike to roll around on for the weekend. We also might want to get there when the gates open for camping because I feel we rolled in there a little late and got the overflow camping area. It was a good time but I'm not sure I want to rush back maybe in a few years if the opportunity arises to bring a shit load of bikes. Maybe if Danny was going to go and race all kinds of races I would consider a return trip. But it was a fun time hanging out with Rod. He's easy to get along with and we always have a lot of laughs when hanging out.

THE TRIP TO SEE JAY, NY

Went on a trip to visit the town of JAY, NY  Every one needs a Bud that when you tell them you want to ride 8oo miles to go see a town with your same namesake they say, "I'M IN"

We took the scenic view through Bucks County then up we rode 97 to follow the Delaware River.

The day ended after 300 miles to Smyrna, NY to visit a few childhood friends of Tony,
Mike and MEME where absolutely great people and we sat by their

lake and hung out and drank beers. These people were the nicest people and treated us wonderful for our stay at their house.

Get a load of the Trump supporter pack up truck in the back ground
Day two we  Rode to Tupper Lake NY about 167 miles. This was a fun day we checked out a State park to camp then we decided it was to early to stop and we rode up farther and in Tony / Jay  fashion we camped at a hotel. After checking in we drank a little wine and some Honey jack the took off on foot to get some food and drinking supplies. We stopped into a pizza parlor to see if they deliver and there's a bar in the pizza parlor. Kind of odd that there was no BEER signs out front to advertise such. So we sat there and drank and there was no delivery so we paid them to visit our hotel room with Steak and a Italian dish Tony ordered in a few hours. We also met a local that felt sorry for us and gave us a ride to the liquor store and back to the hotel. It was a hilly town and we were't looking forward to walking around town for our wine supplies.

(Sunday funday) we took off for JAY. and we found some fun roads on the way and stopped by white face mountain scenic
Lake Placid view from White Face Mountain.

MADE IT

Then we rode to Lake George and stayed the night there then after our stay there we headed home on Monday.
Lake George was a little dead because it was a Sunday night so we retired in early.

We found a a few cool roads in the morning then we in the afternoon we ate lunch and slabbed it home.

Sunrise

Took a morning ride to watch the sunrise. The days are so much better when you don't drink the night before. I just wish I would remember that all the time.

Jessica is a nurse WOW

Yes I get the biggest picture it's my Blog
Jessica graduated Nursing school this Tuesday. I am so proud of her she really hit the books and passed. Ya know it's so much easier in life to not excel, to not go that extra mile. Jessica really makes me proud I know she is going to have a happy life a head of her.

Mom's just as proud as me
Andrew is Jessica's boy friend and her partner. I really like him he makes her happy and that's the most important thing to me right now is her happiness. He is always there for her and helped her study and was just there to be a friend when she needed one. I really like him I hope I never have to kill him and bury his remains in a shallow grave.

WEEKEND OF 5/14/2016

What a Saturday I had first woke up early and I rode 23 miles on the bicycle.
Then I took the dogs for their walk

Then me and Mason went kayaking
