Six in Six out

My Riding Buddies
Keith, Tony, Dan, Myself, Matt, Kenny
Had a really good ride today. Everyone arrived on time and we had the kick stands up at 12:00 noon just as we planned on. (I was just wondering) I'm not saying this is the reason we got off on time I'm just saying. Do you think it could of been that the forever late Irish man was not present. Nahh That's not the reason......  So we head out and the pace is aggressive right off the bat. Dan comes up along side of me and  not to be out done I grab a handful of throttle. I was looking fit, fast and ready to not let the young one past me on his new bike. Through the puddle side by side we go. That's when something happened to the Old Fat Guy. A major bounce sent me flying up over the handle bars. I was admiring my clean plastic of the front fender when I bounced some how back on the seat. Like a pissed off neutered bull the Husky bucks again and sent me for a second look at the front fender. Thinking with lightning reflexes I headed for the smaller sapling pine trees. Banging into them for a few dozen yards I got spit out on to the soft sand of the pine barren trail. Thinking that was one hell of a long crash the guys behind me must of enjoyed those antics. Then I hear the sound of a fast approaching two stroke. Oh no this is usually the part of the story where I get my butt run over by the guy behind me. As I brace for impact I see Matt and a yellow RMZ250 go flying over me and it doesn't look pretty as bike and Matt crash to the ground missing me by inches.
The rest of the ride was fun as we passed each other all day with less dramatics results then the first 10 minutes. Great ride Matt, Dan, Keith, Tony, Kenny and myself. Here's the pictures from the days ride look at how screwed up Matt's bike got avoiding some fat ass laying in the middle of the trail.
Thanks Dude I appreciate the wreck you took avoiding me.

New Bike

Dan got himself a Husqvarna WR250
It's a lot of bike but he should be fine on it.

Rally Cross 11-07-2010

Out of no where a good weekend arises. Saturday I was up early to go watch the sunrise. Yea I know I been doing that on a regular basis but hell I’m doing so little drinking anymore I'm a wake like a old grandfather dude anymore. So that was cool then I did a little stuff on the (To Do List). Then me and Dan went out to look at a few dozen motorcycles that I have my eye on as his next steed.

Sunday I had plans to take Dan, James, Rod and Dan’s friend Mike to go watch the rally car races at the new Millville track NJMP. Not expecting to much excitement so I wouldn’t be let down considering it is just car racing.  Man was that a fun day. We got a bunch of swag (Free Shit) and the racing was really exciting. At the end of the race Dan sneaked into the winner circle to hob knob with the drivers. I’m starting to expect that type of shenanigans from him anymore. It was a fun day and I’m really happy we attended this event. The pictures from the day are here

Halloween 2010

This weekend was the town Halloween parade. So I wasn’t really looking forward to sitting in the cold watching the parade but a brother does what a brother has to do. Then Joe price called me and asked if I would like to ride in the back of his army truck that he just recently purchased. Hell yea, reprieve from the boring. So I gathered some kids Dan, Annemarie, James, Mike, and we also invited Rod. We all wore camouflage and I put on an Obame masked and I went as the Commander and Chief of the free world. What a blast I had being Obama while driving on top of the duce and half military truck. Slideshow

Prior to that in the morning Sherrie and I walked around town to look at the PICTURES the kids from High School Toms River South painted on the local establishments down town. Jessica did one the painting this year so it was a special treat.

Of course I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t manage to get a ride in. Sunday morning was ride day so we awoke early and went out to get our fix in before the tricker treater’s starting arriving around 3pm. The ride was not the best. I crashed in the slick mud behind the airpark then the bike wouldn’t re-start so we bumped it and I limped home with a bike that was unable to restart and a fork that was leaking fork oil all over the place. . Danny came home shortly after I arrived home complaining his bike is also running terrible. Not good I see money signs.
